Not long to go now, getting excited!!

Anyway….to wet our appetites……..

This quilt was made by Yvonne Kervinen and is called ‘Britain – What it Means to You’.  This was the title of the Quilters’ Guild Challenge category.

Technical Information: ‘Crazy patchwork in the middle.  Free hand cutting in the border.  Apple appliqued, free-hand quilting.

Inspiration: ‘The winter and a god apple.’

Now for a bit of colour!

This quilt was mad by Elizabeth Michellod Dutheil and is called ‘Solis II’ and was entered in the Contemporary Quilt category.

Technical Information: ‘Work in transparency (sheer fabric, organza, silk, polyester).  Three layers, machine sewn’.

Inspiration: ‘I sew and I collate – I look for colours and I experiment various combinations.  My inspiration comes from mother nature.’
